North Jersey cool town/area for a day trip? (Hackettstown: house, restaurant)

I may be heading up to the Wolf Peserve up in Northern Jersey (Delaware Water Gap area) tomorrow and since I was up there figured it would be nice to do more than just that. (Coming from South Jersey).
So looking for a cool place to go to walk and around and shop like a New Hope/Lambertville, a cool winery, something outdoorsy, whatever in that area on NJ. Any suggestions within an hour or so of that vicinity?

After the wolf preserve, head down Rt 46 East to Gunnar's Landing in Belvidere. Afterwards, you can than check out foursisterswinery.com also in Belvidere. For shopping, head over to Hackettstown.

Alternatively, check out Newton. I'd recommend JC's Grill House - Sussex county steak house, Newton NJ restaurant, Private Parties available, Certified Angus Beef Steak house, Sussex county restaurant, private party sussex nj for lunch and then you can check out the shops in the surrounding area.
