Bayonne: Kennedy Blvd and 50th St - SAFE? (apartment complex, daycare)

Hi, I am thinking to move to Bayonne next month with my boyfriend. We are looking at an apartment complex called Boulevard Gardens located on Kennedy and 50th St. Does anyone have any information on this complex?

Is this a safe area?

If not, are there other apt complexes in Bayonne that are safer?

I pass by there everyday while driving my son to daycare (45th & Kennedy Blvd). It looks ok from outside, but not sure how it feels living there.

I know people that live in that complex & it is well maintained. The people seem fine & it is a safe area. I would feel ok walking thru there at any time of day/night.

The apartments are well maintained,parking can be a problem at times if you come in late,because it is unassigned.You might need to park couple of blocks away on 52nd.
Location wise, its great ..right by the park overlooking the newark bay , walkable to tennis courts,shopping and the bus to NYC and JSQ.
I have been living around the same area for the last 5 years and safety has never been an issue.
