One word: Suckers!

I'm all for preserving history, but please, it's just a shack.

If this house is close to the beach then the price is about what you have to pay for a cottage at the Jersey Shore. I have seen houses in Ocean Grove similar to this sell for more. It's all about proximity to the beach.

Update, This house is about two blocks from the long Branch beach. In the summer it will probably rent for $1,000 per week, add Springsteens name and some will pay even more.
I don't think the purchasers were suckers at all. Maybe the renters.

The article is very incompete. I remember about 2 months ago when we started a thread on when the house was first listed for sale. I sure would have liked to read more details.

Anyway I remember back then I suggested that it would be nice to make it a museum about Bruce.

I know it says she is gonna live there, but i gaurantee there would be a market out there for a rental house if they fixed it up a bit and had some bruce springsteen memoribilia and like a signed guitar or something.

He is a very popular artist and im sure they could make money off of the buildings past
