NorthJersey.com: N.J. sports authority warns of growing fiscal problems

The state should never have been in the sports business. And this is the first time I heard that the the state took over their debt - when will it every end. Time to move out of Jersey and let the corrupt politicians and state pensioners pay back the debt.

I thought the Xanadu project was brilliant! Whatg a fantastic idea to bring indoor skiing to NJ. That should save NJ tons of money. Also, building the same exact stadium for the Giants and Jets was another genius plan! Why keep an old stadium around that functions just like the new one? It makes total sense. Go NJ and keep on blowing all your $$. Dont worry, they will just raise your taxes again and life will go on.

And the latest twist was they where "looking for an extra $500 million somewhere from the State (us)" to put up a few billboards for the place.
Gee, I checked the pockets in my jeans the other night and didn't find an extra half a billion dollars.
Also it comes to something like over 50 million for each sign. Wonder if we can get a piecec of that? Maybe the citizens of NJ should start a Meadowlands Billboard Commission and they have to pay US application fees to put the things up. That's the NJ way it seems. Everybody's hired to this one, I'll share.

Yiu know the ole saying, "An extra half billion here, an extra half billion there, pretty soon you're talking some real money."
