Two mature males relocating to Princeton for work soon. Haven't the vaguest idea of where to begin looking. Will be renting for 1st year and want to stay
away from large apartment buildings.

Please need help for nice towns within 20 - 30 minutes to Princeton more artsy areas, nicer yeah even trendier. In our 40's and would appreciate any pointers or help.

Thank you.

Would consider home too any good web sites for help or relocation business that anybody knows of would be a huge help too.

Bucks County, PA is the most "artsy" area and is very nice. Princeton itself would also fit the bill.

I agree - Bucks County in PA is excellent - especially New Hope. I bet you would love New Hope PA. It would be less than an hour from Princeton NJ. (I can't recall exactly but I'm guessing 45 min) When I visit my sister in Yardley PA I go through it sometimes. Actually I love Princeton - that's a great town - they are all expensive.

I agree with Bucks Co. Pa. too! And you might look on the Jersey side of the river at Lambertville. We have friends (architects and artisans) who love it there. Easy access to New Hope Pa!

I agree, Lambertville and New Hope ( Bucks County PA) are great choices. My partner and I both used to live not far from there and love the area. alot to do, fun galleries, shops, and quaint towns in the area. if you enjoy antiques or flea markets you are really in luck. Princeton would be 40 minutes from New Hope.
I do not know if you are a gay couple, but if so, NJ has much stronger "protections" for same sex partners than PA. PA actually has just about none! We live in Masachusetts and are legally married, and WOW what a difference protections make!
Good Luck

Agree that Lambertville is perfect for this.

New Hope - not so much. It's really JAMMED on weekends. And kind of sleazy, too.

Ewing has a nice condo complex in the GOOD section called the Madison. You can probably get a two bedroom rental in there for under $2000 and the building is very upscale. That will put you only 8 miles or so outside of Princeton.

If you live in New Hope you have to fight the traffic to get to Princeton - the bridges jam up
