I like them both but I would check out what a few are saying as far as Toms River & taxes as Ortley Beach is a part of Toms River Township

My vote would be Lavalette...although I stayed many times in Ortley Beach, after reading a lot more
about what is going on there, taxes, etc...I think the best bet is Lavalette...good luck

Houses in Pt. Pleasant Borough may be, but houses in Pt. Pleasant Beach I would say are right on par. Everything else has been covered. Taxes are much better in Lavalette since the TR reval.

My choice would be Lavalette. I stayed many times in that cute town. Loved it, and so did the family.
