NJ -not only has miles of shore points, but plenty of fresh water lakes that are terrific fishing spots with or without a boat. I dont know how many people are into a day on a boat on a nice NJ lake- but if ya had to pick one (and maybe even a campground)- where are ya goin??
I like Lake Aerolflex (its natural not man made)- sussex county
- lake trout , LMbass, yellow perch- aplenty
Swartzwood lake in sussex is larger- more facilties, & draws more people (which may or may not be good-depending on your trip)
But- wide variety of *fishes* to go for- over 500 acres
Of course we have Lake Hopatcong Up near Landing - It has become more of a place for water-sking,and Jet-skis- and less of a fishing lake -excepy nice and early in the AM- Then its nice ,on a warm day with the sun coming up- -Hmmm- NoT too familiar with fresh water spots down south- only salt water inlets, the bay, and the ocean spots- Anyof you South Jersey folks, that sail the high seas- that can recommend some nice spots??- a lot of the smaller spots are really good also, but Im not going to give them all away--lol- -just kidding, too many to mention and too much typing
