Are there any dog enthusiasts here who know of any canine-friendly beaches and beach towns where on-leash buddies are welcome - off season, of course

Without peeking at the rules, dogs are usually allowed before and after the lifeguard, swimming hours at beaches in season, usually Memorial Day to Labor Day or mid-June until sometime in September. Dogs rule on the beach for the rest of the year.

I think Brigatine allows dogs on the beach (certain section) during off months.
That is the only one i am aware of but I think a few more like Strathmore also allow it.

I see people with their dogs on the beach at Long Branch every weekend. Now that I think of it, I don't see dog poop on the beach, so I guess the owners are being responsible.

Thanks, guys!!! someday on the horizon Im going to need a break, and I want to take one of my two dogs with me. The mix gets car sick (and the drugs make him punchy), but the Dobie can ride forever.I was interested in the laid-bck vibe of off-season,without the kids.

Hi all, went to the dog beach at the Longport/Ocean City bridge. Dogs and kids had a great time. Lots of rocks tough on the human feet bring water shoes. Port-o-potties available.

Thanks for the info! Is there anyone out there who can tell me where we can go fishing (not a bathing beach) and bring our dog?

Surf fishing like for stripers? Not really.

Some people fish at fisherman's beach (name sounds way more promising than it is) in Manasquan. Dogs are allowed.
