Hi all,
My family is still researching towns and trying to decide where to buy our next home. My husband works in Manville, and his current commute is over an hour each way (which he isn't too terribly bothered by.)

We've been looking in the Philly suburbs as well as a little bit in Ocean County, but wondered if there was anything closer to work that we're missing...he'd rather not live in Manville (he's a teacher there) but maybe there's something close by.

Our budget is right at or under 200k and we need great schools (have 2 little ones) and a family friendly area.

Thanks for any input!

It might be difficult to find anything at 200K in this area for a family of 4. However in Hillsborough on the west side of 206 there are some 2 bedroom townhomes with a basement between 200K and 250K. Good school. Expecting to pay tax+association fee around 9k for those homes.

Somerville is frequently overlooked, but it is affordable and the HS is actually decent.

What's wrong with living in Manville? If more of our teachers lived in the town where they work our morning and afternoon commuters would be cut by half. On those rare days when schools are closed the roads are empty. Besides Manville is one of those towns with affordable housing.
