My husband and I just purchased a new home in the Sherbrooke neighborhood of Basking Ridge. We would like to completely renovate the kitchen as well as possibly the basement. Can anyone recommend a reliable kitchen designer an or contractor in the area?

I would call Candelino Kitchens. He's been doing kitchens for over 25 years and know the buisiness very well. You can tell him I referred you to him. 908-353-6094.

Thanks for considering doing your kitchen the correct way. Going to the ol big box store and you will be raped and short changed in every way. They employ no designers and charge full list price for cabinets. How stupid is that?

Go to National Kitchen & Bath Association and first click on "why work with a professional designer" then click on "find a professional".

You will be assured to to get a Designer who is CKD. I have been gone from NJ for some time now so I have no idea where all my old contacts are. Good luck.....

Use a designer or architect for your renovation projects. So many use their recommended contractor for projects but contractors generally are not designers. They may do a great job with the construction but you need an experienced architect to make sure your project fits well with the design of you home.
How many times do we see additions to homes that are well built but architecturally do not fit?

Thank you for your posts. We want to make sure the job is done right so we are definetely interested in hiring a designer and or architect and then having a contractor do the installations. I will check out NK&B association for a designer but if anyone knows of a good one please pass their info along.

Candelin Kitchens has a designer on staff. Again, they have been doing kitchens for a long time and they know their buisiness.
