For burgers ive been to , Iron Horse , Bobby's Flay's @ Bergen Town Center, Tick Tock Diner on Route 3 in Clifton (everything is great there) , & future i would like to try Five Guys in Jersey City , White Mana's , and much more.
I would suggest White Manna in Hackensack as opposed to the White Mana (one N) in Jersey City.
They are comparable in name only.
Oh i thought it was a chain, interesting , thats like the 2 Tick Tock diners , the one in Manhattan is crapper and a rip off , but the one in Clifton is the original one.

no need to go down to JC for five guys burgers.
there are locations closer to you in hackensack (hackensack avenue, just north of rt. 4) and in east rutherford (rt. 17 north, just south of rt. 120/paterson plank rd).
and as already mentioned, white manna in hackensack and white mana in jersey city (note the different spellings) are separately owned, with the hackensack location serving far superior burgers in a great old-school art deco diner. the JC location is also located in a classic mid-20th century art deco structure and, unlike hackensack, is open 24/7, but the burgers are nothing special.
here's a nice comparison of the two unrelated branches, including some interesting tidbits about their history and why the JC location's name is spelled differently:
Bobby Flay's burger palace is very very good. Some of the best burgers I have ever had, and I am also a burger fanatic as you. They are a little pricey and they are not as large a burger as some of the other places mentioned. But if this is all about taste, then they are a winner.
Arthur's in Morris Plains is probably my overall number 1 favorite in Jersey right now. I can't believe it has not been mentioned here yet!
An honorable mention goes to Stage Left and Tumulty's in New Brunswick.
For the "fast food" type burger Five Guys isn't bad. But it is a close second to White Rose - Highland Park.
But my overall BEST burger I've ever had is still in Chicago: Boston Blackie's.
Best Burger I've ever had, anywhere, not just in NJ, is at Stage Left in New Brunswick. It's big, it's freshly ground beef, it's lightly seasoned, it's perfectly grilled. They recommend having it with the Vermont Cheddar and bacon, and I happen to agree, but of course you can top it with a variety of other options. The steak fries they serve with it are excellent as well, and the spicy chipotle mayo is sublime. Here's a review that was written back in 2005.

White Rose in Highland Park is an understated treasure. I've had White Mana in both JC and Hackensack, and the one in Highland Park holds its own to both of those.
