It says right on their web site theres a charge for a remote meter thingie


PSE&G offers meters that do not require us to come inside your home for a reading. For a fee, PSE&G can install an electronic remote transmitter (or ERT)with no wiring, that can be read from outside. There is a small monthly charge for this service. For information, please call PSE&G Customer Service at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734

thats sounds like a good idea Bill. Anyone how 'small' this charge is???

I pay my PSE&G account online (I believe in going with paperless for bills). One of the option online is to submit your gas and electric reading. They also show you the date of the last reading as well. I guess one option is to go in and submit your reading every month.

its a monthly charge. It can't be 150 a month!

It's probably $150 to install the device and then an additional monthly charge on top of that.
