Hi All

Our family is moving from India to East Brunswick in NJ in the next 6 months. Our family is me, my husband and my 6-year-old girl. We would need info reg. good school districts, housing options etc.

We are looking for a 3 bed house/ condo. Any info on the school system and how good it is would be greatly appreciated.

We have lived in Stamford, CT and Irvine, CA till 2009 so I guess the whole process of "getting used" will be relatively shorter this time around!

Hoping to hear from you all!

East Brunswick has its own schools which are very well thought of.

Are you renting or buying?

I live in nearby North Brunswick.

According to greatschools.com, East Brunswick has 5 elementary schools, all scoring at least 8 out of 10.
Choosing an Elementary School & Supporting K-5 Education | GreatSchools

NJ Monthly Magazine (2008) ranked the High School 76 out of 316 high schools in the State.

You can check out the criteria here-

Not too shabby!

Good luck with your move!

Hi DodgeViper01

Tks for ur reply! We are looking to rent a 3 bed condo/ townhouse/ home. Which are the communities around East Brunswick that would have this kind of accommodation? Are there any other zip codes that we shd look at for housing? Most imoprtant for us is that we live in a neighborhood with good schools.

I also would like info on how/when to start applying to schools? Is there a system of waitlists or shd we wait till we move?

I grew up in EB and the schools are very well thought of. I don't think you can go wrong in any of their elementary schools, but then again, it has been almost 20 years since I was in one.

As far as condos go, there are several developments where you can rent: Society Hill, Fox Meadow, and Cranbury Crossing to name a few.
