If you need to be there by 7:30am, you'd need to leave by 6:30am at the latest.

There is no best way. Probably NJ Turnpike to Garden State Parkway.

You'll want to have EZ-Pass.

In high school, I did that commute all the time. There are several ways to go, and none of them are that great, but I think the quickest way is:

Rte 1 North
Garden State Parkway North
exit 145 get on Rte 280 West
exit 6A (6B is right BEFORE 6A)

If you stay straight on this road, it will take you directly to St Barnabas.

The road forks a couple of times. You stay LEFT/STRAIGHT at both forks. The first fork Laurel Ave forks off to the right but you continue on left/straight and the road becomes Shrewsbury. You then hit a traffic light, but keep going straight. At the second fork doesn't even really look like a fork, more like a "t". Just stay left/straight there too. Go through the next 2 lights and you are at St Barnabas.

If you are not far from the turnpike, that would be better than Rte 1. If thats the case, just follow the same directions replacing Rte 1 with The NJ Turnpike.

I'm not sure, but I think you could probably take a train to Newark Penn Station and then take a bus from there to St Barnabas, but again, I'm not sure. Even if this IS possible, you are looking at a much longer commute.
