It seems to be a *bit* better than that pathetic list from the past, but still ridiculous.
I usually don't care for NJ Monthly's non-stop coverage of the northeastern part of the state and little else, but I was pleasantly surprised by their recent acknowledgment of Trenton's existence in their pizza issue (De Lorenzo's Hamilton Avenue is the best! ) but needless to say, Tahiti is right-their best places to live list is largely hooey. The methodology seems pretty dodgy. If your city has very low property taxes or a lot of open space, you shoot to the top. No factors for transit or educational success? blah.
number of Hospitals? Verona and Caldwell are MUCH higher than they should be because, having 14 hospitals RIGHT in your town makes the big difference.
