Power out in sections, Ocean and Monmouth County. Same thing, won't be restored until Tuesday. Trees down, flooding with high tide. Very busy night for LE and Emergency responders.
So far 90 million spent on levees and flood gates, new bridges and yet the water still comes in during every major storm.
I would think 90 mill could have bought out every home and business in the flood zone and turned Bound Brook into a nice riverfront park.
Many years ago the native Americans who inhabited Bound Brook moved to higher ground to avoid the flooding. Why are the Bound Brook politicians not as smart as those who occupied this area so many years ago?

I don't think its the politicians..those who live near water should expect flooding sometimes..common sense...as you said the indians many moons ago were smart enough to go to higher lands.

Also - Short Hills Mall was closed today (no power).
If they're telling everyone Tuesday, late Tuesday, I think that they're hoping to have it wrapped up by then. Whenever our power has been out, service was back up before the day/time stated.
I just went outside for a minute and heard chainsaws, so someone is hard at work.
There moving block to block in my town , so hopefully by mid Monday it will be back. The Problem is they have to replace the poles, but it seems they are working out of sync with the tree cutting companies. And those companies are outragous 1500$ a tree
