We are thinking of buying a house on Clark Street in Glen Ridge. I know it's very close to Bloomfield. Is this the last street in Glen Ridge before Bloomfield starts? Some of the properties on this street don't look very well maintained. Any info on this street??
Glen Ridge is a slither of a township that borders many towns, Bloomfield, Montclair, E Orange, Orange. Clark St closer to Bloomfield Ave is busier than the inset - many of the homes there as well don't have driveways and have to park in the lot. The community pool is there so it gets crowded and noisy for the residents w/in earshot in the summer. That overpass is the train. If these things are ok with you then the town itself is great esp if you have children - school system and community is #1. Good luck!
All of Glen Ridge is a safe area, and the schools are one of the best in the state; if you can afford it then the schools are reason enough to move there. The schools in the surrounding towns suck for the most part.
