Well the idiot left us 12 billion in the hole and walked away. What a jerk. Yeah he was a big help. Now everyone is blaming Christie because he has to balance the budget. It's the law.

Moderator cut: orphaned quote

I believe this man was the worst governor we ever had. He was definately not in the best interest of the people. He took every opportunity to raise tolls and taxes, instituted laws that are illegal and unconstitutional, and left us with a huge deficit. Instead of enforcing laws to help the citizens, he went after us, the law abiding. There is plenty of illegal activity that can generate huge sums that remain untapped. Why do you need to come after the honest hard working people who are already paying their dues?

He didn't care about us so why should we care about him?

Wonder what we spent on his portrait? All out going govs and stnd-ins get a $30K or so portrait painted. Would like to see what we spent our money on.

At least his term wasn't as inauspicious as Jimmy "I'm Gay!" McGreevey. Here's a guy who resigned after using homosexuality to distract from the real matter: giving a patronage position, the fifth highest paying position in the state government, to a completely unqualified neophyte. Then, not resigning the governorship entirely until after election day, to avoid a special election. (You have to hand it to the Democrats: they really, really play for keeps)

To be completely fair, however, what happened to Christine Whitman? After reading the following story: NorthJersey.com: N.J. taxpayers owe pension fund $45.8 billion
Perhaps she should be behind bars. 45.8 billion dollars. My beloved home state sure is in deep shale.
