Hi everyone,

I recently started working in Short Hills. Since I live in Piscataway, it takes me too long to commute to and from work. So I would like to move to somewhere closer to Short Hills.

Are there any good apartment complexes in the area which have studio or 1 bedroom apartments for under $1100? I am a single girl and don't really need a bigger apartment. Just want to make sure that it is a safe area and a clean, well-kept apartment community (no leaks, rats, or other such issues!).

Please let me know if you know of any good rentals. I appreciate your input!

Thanks.

You might want to look in Springfield or some of the other surrounding areas. Much less expensinve then Millburn/Short Hills and equally as nice.

There is a complex in Springfield on the border of Millburn called Short Hills Village. The units were older but updated and very clean but this was a few years ago when I used them for Corporate Rentals for some of our visiting employees. I never had a problem. However, I don't know what they're like now but you may want to check into them. You might also want to check South Orange and Maplewood - I have a friend that pays $1100 for a 1 bedroom in South Orange.
