May life treat you the way cherry blossoms treat the spring . . .
Few things move me to become poetic quite like the 2010 Cherry Blossom Festival in Branch Brook Park, Essex County (Newark) NJ. While it does not start officially until April 10th, the blossoms are in peak bloom now! Today (Sunday, April 4) was absolutely sublime. Even if you plan to visit the Festival, try to see the park in the next couple of days. The cherry blossoms are doing a full dress rehearsel. You never know how the weather could change things. Here are a few photos from today:
P.S. To Moderator. I know you asked me to remove my web address from the photos. I apologize for these. It will not be on any further photos I post. I wanted to get these up the same day as the Festival will come and go quickly. Thanks.
These are sooo lovely! <3 Thanks for the share of the pictures! Been noticing, since two days ago, about the Sakura blooming in other parts of northern NJ.
Traditional song - Sakura Sakura:
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, Blanketing the countryside, As far as you can see. Is it a mist, or clouds? Fragrant in the morning sun. Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, Flowers in full bloom. Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, Across the Spring sky, As far as you can see. Is it a mist, or clouds? Fragrant in the air. Come now, come, Let’s look, at last!
Here are a few more photos of the cherry blossoms in Branch Brook Park, Newark, NJ. The cherry blossoms are in peak bloom! A stroll through the park is a way to enjoy the calming, restorative power of creation's beauty. Toss a light lunch or dinner in the Tupperware and bring the kid out to the park. You will enjoy it! Seniors and the infirm will enjoy it as well!
