I'm trying to find a relatively cheap (but nice) pool for the summer. I'm a resident of Chatham and my neighbor tells me only New Providence residents or non-residents with a NP resident 'sponsor' can buy membership to the NP Pool. Can anyone verify that? Also, assuming it's true, I see the Summit pool is only $100 for an individual, which seems really cheap. Does anyone have a membership to Summit pool? Is it nicer than the price suggests? Thanks in advance.
I've heard the Summit pool is nice. I know the NP pool is nice. I know NP allows out-of-town members; I am not sure if you have to be sponsored. The NP pool has 3 pools - an 8 lane competitive pool, a 5(?) lane lap pool, a recreational pool, toddler wading pool, and a separate diving well. The grounds are really nice, they have a great snack bar, lots of sun and shade, and chairs, a playground and shuffleboard too.
