Is Plainsboro a nice place to live? Do they have good schools? What is the crime like? It seems like a nice place according to everything I have read on web sites. I would really appreciate any info.

Thanks

Default Plainsboro

It's nice, it's way overcrowded though. It's the next town over from Princeton which is MUCHO over crowded, you can't even breathe on the highway at lunchtime around here. Plainsboro also has a whole bunch of apartment/townhouses in one segregated area of the town, and it's a high percentage of single people. I lived there a short time. Contact me if you want any particulars about the area.

Yeah, Hunters Glen is one of the townhouse/condo/apartment thingies there in Plainsboro. I lived in Fox Run many, many years ago. Hunters Glen is one of the nicer ones. It's very close to all the shopping. If you want, send me a private message and i'll give you my email, we can chat about the area, I know it well.

Thumbs up Plainsboro Resident

Hey, I just read your post asking about Plainsboro. It is a very nice quiet area located in central NJ (middlesex county). I reside in Pheasant Hollow, I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone but Hunters Glen is one of the nicer townhouses/condo/apts in the area. I do not believe they allow pets, that is why we are here.

As for the area everything is relatively close. Superfresh is about 2 miles from Hunters Glen. There is alos a shoprite located on Rt 130 S in East Windsor, its about a 10 min ride. I am not too sure of the schools as my children are not of that age yet, but from what I read and find out from others, the school system is one of the better rated in the state. My wife and I came to love this area. My wife is from NC and use to the country, I am from the inner city (Jersey City, NJ - Hudson County). But we find the luxury of having both in this area. There is long country roads with corn farms and christmas tree farms and everything is close enough where you don't feel as if it takes forever to get to a store and home.

I would tell you that if you enjoy Italian Foods you might want to cook that yourself, being here almost a year now I can tell you that I have tried all the pizza that this area has to offer and haven't found one place that I like.

The cost of living in this area food is a little pricer than what it is in Northern NJ, but the rents and most everything else is proportionate. Hope you do decide to move to the area, it is very nice and a great place to raise your young children.

If you want any help or need more questions answered you can reach me at robjolicoeur@comcast.net or if you have AOL or (AIM) I can be reached at robjolic725.

If your looking for some feedback on the area or the apartment complexes you can go to www.apartmentratings.com and you can look up the apartment complexes in the area and read the reviews from the tenants. If you want see the demographics of the area you can go to http://www.census.gov. I did it the other day joking around to see what the racial makeup of the area was and population was.

I hope that this information is helpful.
