does anyone know of a good place that teaches art/ music for children 6 years and seven years old? any suzuki violin classes? or piano teachers that are not overepriced? or a class that teaches drawing preception, concept eye training for young children?

I will be in this area in the summer and would like to get them to learn some skills that might help their development in the future.
I can't offer you any teachers or school names but if you go into most daycares they usually have some sort of local parent publication, there's Family, The Parent Guide, Family Guide, Parent Paper and a ton of others. I think you can pay for a subscription but like I said most daycares give them out for free. Just walk in and ask if you can have one.
They have some good articles but the best part of these papers are the classifieds TONS of ads for things like music schools, summer camps, sports camps, speech therapists, pediatricians, art classes, museums, day trip places, birthday party venues and entertainment, all sorts of stuff. There is usually a calendar section too that lets you know what is going on in the coming weeks for the kids to do. I find lots of activities in there for my little one. Make sure you get one that is Bergen County specific.

also, does anyone know about gardening classes for bigger kids?
I believe Abma's Farm in Wyckoff has gardening classes.
