Denville gives cops contract with raises totaling 13 percent | - NJ.com

This is exactly what makes this governor a joke. Tough to walk into a room and tell one person they SHOULD take a freeze but leave the others in the room alone or actually raise their salaries.
The best excuse I have heard is that these raises are being done at the munipal level. I agree with this but I also dont understand why Christie has not made mention of that fact that ALL municipal employees should freeze their salaries. Tough to make a good argument when you are not consistent.
I guess it is all politics and not the change we need.

Christie needs to go after the cops now. That is pretty ridiculous, as are there salaries in general

It's about time NJ had a Governor with some balls. "We the People" are FINALLY being represented!

Next we need a President who will do the same.

The first bills he signed was making cops and fireman pay a little for health care. Damn cops make too much.

Don't you understand strategy at all? Think about the movie 300, if you are going to find against multiple armies (unions, teachers, police, fire, etc.), you pick your fight one at a time. I don't think this fight to contain njea is over yet. If you fight everyone at once, he's bound to lose as he's pretty lonely out there.

Well it's not a done deal. Me thinks they will be faced with some angry townsfolk at the next meeting. Gonna take some balls to vote yes on this once they get through listening to angry residents.

This has nothing to do with Denville or the Cops. This has everything to do with Christie and his lack of comments on these municipal salaries. Not for nothing but people are starting to see through this guy. The shared sacrifice line is nothing more then political b.s.
