The OP asked for South Jersey, so even though this is an old thread, thought I would throw this in there. Vineland/Millville is a UEZ and the entire Cumberland Mall complex is in the zone. There is a Best Buy there as well as a handful of other retailers, including furniture stores that are all at the reduced sales tax rate. Overall, if you are in South Jersey and looking to make a large purchase it is really hard not to simply cross the bridge into Delaware and save some serious cash. On a $1k purchase 7% would be $70, well worth the gas and toll. In one of the UEZ's, it would be $35 in tax, which is less worth the effort, but depending on where you are driving from to get to the UEZ, it might still payoff.
