The town of Hillsborough is nicer, in my opinion. I like more open spaces. Although it has built up A LOT from what it used to be, it's still more spread out and I think you get more for your money there.
Not to interject, but I think Hillsborough over Metuchen for many reasons - town, homes, etc. It's just a nicer area. Plus I cant stand Route 1, so I would not want to live in a town where that road runs right through it
However, Warren over Hillsborough in my opinion, but it depends on prices - hillsborough is way more affordable than Warren, but I just think Warren is more convenient as someone mentioned, and a little nicer.
PLUS - I cannot STAND being anywhere NEAR 206 during rush hour. that road is awful.
