I may be moving to Secaucus NJ for my job soon. Just wondering where to stay nearby so that its easy for commute. Just trying to avoid dangerous areas as well as travel nightmares. Is $1300-$1400 reasonable rent budget for 2bed + 2bath apt ?

Transit Village has many units available for rental. They are adjacent to the train station. I'd avoid the center of the town (Plank Rd. and Humboldt St. area as it is on the noise side at night. Country Ave at Plank Rd. is a heavy truck route all hours of the day and night.

Give Tracy Waters a call at the Century 21 office.

Tracy has lived in the town since birth and knows it well. She's the daughter of a good friend and should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Good luck and welcome to the area. If you need info on Secaucus, feel free to call the Town Clerk's office. They will try to get you what you need.

That area is fairly centrally accessible to a lot of towns since there are many highways traversing it. Locally, you have Rutherford next door which is mostly residential.

You have a lot of options, because of all the major highways... Rutherford is a great town. All depends what you're looking for... Google Rutherford & check out other towns up Rte 17 or out Rte 3...
