Hello everyone,

I am a resident of NJ and currently collecting Unemployment Insurance. We are required to claim our UI benefits bi-weekly. I had a busy week and forgot to claim my benefits for the two weeks prior. I would like to know if anyone else has made this mistake and if I am going to forfeit two weeks of Unemployment Insurance because I forgot to claim my benefits on the scheduled week?

Thank you for your help.

If you miss your assigned date, you should claim your benefits on the Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday immediately following your assigned date. You should claim your benefits during the week in which your assigned date occurs or benefits could be delayed or denied.

Posting in wrong forum, post unemployment questions at this link below.

I understand that, but unfortunately I didn't realize that I forgot to claim my benefits until Saturday which is too late. My question is about, what do I do now? I abvously cannot claim my benefits that week because it is too late now. Am I going to lose my benefiots or will I be able to claim it tomorrow?
