The crazy thing is that I have been living here almost a year now and I never see the police patrolling anywhere, they are always sitting in the park waiting for someone to speed by(I assume that is what they are doing). Most of the time there are like 3 or 4 of them right there. If I wanted to break into a house or shot someone as long as I was at least 5 blocks from the park I would probably be finished and gone before the police arrived. If you need a coop no need to dial 911 just go to the park. My next thread should be a picture thread of a day in the life of a Bayonne police officer and every picture will be in the park. Oh I forgot there is one more thing they do the slowly ride down the street when the HS lets out to make sure those kids don't start any trouble.

Maybe you should read the Kansas City study before you make uniformed comments.

Bayonne's Burglary rate is below the state average in spite of the reduced manpower.

Years ago I got pulled over on 280, the cop asked for the usual documents and went to his car. He came back gave me my documents and left. Didn't say a word. It was very weird.

Probably just because nobody is breaking into anyone's house/car. I don't understand why they have so many cars. They probably could have save some officers jobs by having less cars. I swear there is more police cars than cops.

The reality was he just pulled me over hoping for something.
He ran your plate before he pulled you over but wanted to check it was you driving and not a friend, that's why he asked for your license. He took it back and ran it for outstanding warrants.

Or there was a more serious incident he heard on the police radio and left to attend that.

Maybe, but he didn't leave with sirens blaring, as a matter of fact he didn't even pass me. I remember watching him in my mirror, I was paranoid he was following me, it was so strange.
