Socialist would also include Social Security, Education, Police and Fire services, etc.. Under this definition, both Martinez and Denish are Socialists.

Sarah Palin, a woman that quit her job as governor to bank it, letting down the very people she was supposed to support? Martinez got an endorsement from someone who let down Alaskans and members of her own party. I would try and distance myself from her.

As far as Tea Party... It's hard to group them all together as a homogenous group. However, Martinez got a lot of support from this group, and they're pretty much the reason she beat out Weh.
no one said she was a socialist, the comment was who she associates with.

Number of autodialer calls I've personally received so far by candidate:

Susana Martinez: 2
Diane Denish: 0

You can figure either candidate will steal your money and your trust when they reach office, but when they advertise by theft to influence your vote before they get that office, that's the ultimate sign of character.

Sometimes Zoiberg is operating in another dimension and
you have to think multi-dimensionally to understand him.

He might mean "theft" of your time ... or something else unfathomable.

I wonder how many people don't just slam the phone down when they get these calls?
I wonder how many people are actually glad that they just got one of those calls?
I wonder how many people think that such calls are democracy in action?

As for me, such calls are a reason NOT to vote for whoever makes the call.

Susanna calls ---> I'm voting for Diane
Denish calls ---> I'm voting for Martinez

It might come down to whoever makes the last call to me
unless one is overwhelming the other one ( by frequency ).

You failed to put 2 and 2 together, Nita, by taking something out of context. I was merely describing our current situation after the "perfect storm" against Republicans in the last election which lead to our having zero Republicans in statewide office today. It happened because New Mexicans got fed up with Republicans in office.

Now Susana has an ad out asking if we are "ready for change." A change back to the old failed policies we were trying to flush down the toilet before? No thanks!!! We need to move forward, not backwards. I will not vote for a Tex-Mex version of Jan Brewer.

Have you been in NM long enough to know that New Mexican's got tired of Republicans, Im sure most just vote on who is offering the most handouts, and I'm sure there are many people in NM who want a Tex-Mex version of Jan Brewer, I would like one here in Colorado. Its true, NM does need change and that is obvious from what Richardson has done with the state, not that it was that much better to begin with, or since its statehood. And the majority of the country would prefer a law like Jan Brewer's, I've seen the stats, so that may put you in the minority.

That's pretty nasty, but it can be said for either party . . . just different recipients.

I have been voting in New Mexico for over 20 years, but who's counting? My vote counts the same as anyone else's. I shook Bruce King's hand, and saw how Gary Johnson gridlocked Santa Fe by vetoing everything that came out of the legislature. It's attitudes like yours that made me leave the Republican party years ago.

First off, Half of New Mexico governors were not even from here.. so the fact that she is from texas? who cares.

Diane sounds more texan, than Susana ever will.

Thirdly, New Mexican's never got tired of the "republicans", there were not enough republicans in New mexico to begin with. This is a liberal state and has been since the administation of Truman.

New Mexico needs more republicans. Maybe we won't have so much corruption.
