As for this latest winter storm - it was a huge NON-event for Ruidoso proper today. What little snow there was before dawn soon melted off and only light flurries during the day that did not stick. I see Cloudcroft got several inches and the streets are covered this evening as viewed on their downtown web cam.

They should be OK, school was on today, and the bus came through. Just watch your speed on the curves, well don't speed on the road - not a good thing to do. Temps tomorrow should be in the low 40's.

Do you have a cabin up here?

No, nothing happened with the power until yesterday (Monday)
We lost it again most of the day and now it's back on. Hopefully, it will stay on.

Check with NMroads before driving it. It might be slick in certain areas like around Sunspot. After you leave Cloudcroft, there is no cell service.
Good idea to let someone know when you will be arriving in case you happen to get stuck and try to drive during the day and not at night.

I don't know for sure. Just tried calling the water office to find out but they don't appear to be answering the phone.

I don't think they've been restocked for a couple of years while we've been under receivership but I don't know that for sure. They have fish in them now though.
