Hello My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Cloudcroft,NM. We want to take our 2 dogs along. Price is more important than seclusion. We're looking to spend $100 a night. I've found one place that will do that but we wanted to see what our other options are. $150 at the very most. The place is Alpine Alcove and they charge $99 a night (we're going in April) plus $25 a pet. So that would be $350 not including the cleaning deposit. Are there any great deals out there that we can't find?
I was about to suggest a home exchange, but there are no listings on the largest site for Cloudcroft, and the few nearby (Alamogordo and Bent, NM) don't allow pets.
Thought about renting an RV? That seems unusually popular in that part of the world. No idea on what that would run you, though. There's always camping, too, though this time of year tenderfoots need not apply. At least you have heat enough for a two dog night.
