The Enchanted Skies Star Party will be held near Socorro from October 6 through 10. I hope to make it this year.

Last October I went up to Camp Luna in the Cibola N.F., and it was not only eeerily quiet and spooky, it was also great for star gazing. One could see the clusters galaxies, it was awesome, but I froze my too too off.

Today thru Sunday was "supposed" to be the annual Kite Festival in Ruidoso. With blowing snow as of this typing, not many kite fliers are likely to be out and about today. No shortage of gusting winds though!
The Albuquerque Wine Festival is an event that is put on annually by the New Mexico Wine Growers Association. They also sponsor a number of other events. MAY 29-31, 2010 - MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND NOON to 6:00pm DAILY at the BALLOON FIESTA PARK.
