Do they still have that highway/route #666?

Just wonderin', broke down in Gallup coming from Phoenix, was walking around town looking for something to eat and noticed that sign like it was some sort of bad omen. It took me three tries (thank Gallup automotive technician-you wouldn't be qualified to be a "lube technician") and four days to get out of that town.

I was walking down to the McDonald's after dropping the truck off at the garage and i happened to notice a "route 66" sign ( i guess part of the old route 66 passes throught there) and right above that sign was route 666.

I was ready to set my truck on fire, go back to town and board the bus back home. Broke down three times....and two failed attempts to repair my truck....broke down each time very near the same spot as last time on I-40 (right by continental divide).

Felt like i was stuck in warp zone for four days.

The signs still say "Old HWY 666."

And you could take photos. It's a beautiful drive!

Default U.S. Route 491 From Gallup to Farmington

Having been told this is not such a great road at night, and passed this info to the boyfriend, I have pretty much assured this is the route he will take. However, can anybody tell me, what is the availability of 24-hour gas stations, and safe stops along this route? Will be driving a big, gas eating monster of a truck, and would hate to run out on a two lane highway in the middle of the night.

Yall have been so helpful, thanks so much
