Not everybody has that luxury. Some people can move once, and even that might be a bit of a financial or other strain.

Myself, I could afford to move again if forced, but I sure wouldn't like it. And a second move would put a financial strain on me. That's why I researched some concerns and made a few visits before deciding to commit. People should always do these things with their eyes wide open unless they like to take chances and have no responsibilities to other people.

Las cruces would have more to offer as far as jobs, shopping, and medical care, as well as any extra social services you might need for your son. I live in el paso now but lived in alamogordo for 10 yrs. I enjoyed it there, but itvis pretty small.

All we can do is give it our best shot at showing an OP what our area has to offer - it's really up to them to scutinize every comment and then, as phydeaux3 says, do these things "with their eyes wide open." I would visit in person for sure if it's at all possible before-hand.

Alamogordo is small, but, it's a nice amount of people at 35,000 and stores continue to come here. Plenty of grocery stores with 4 of them now. Jobs are a very personal search for everyone and the OP will have to look closely at that - sure, on the surface, Las Cruces offers more jobs that need to be filled.

Alamogordo is a safe place ta live and there are healthcare jobs available here.
