Hello Silvercity,
Im visiting my inlaws in april and im an avid fisherman from NH, im looking to take my father inlaw out fishing and would like to show him a fun time so if anyone could help i would much appretiate it, we will not be using a boat and fishing from shore so any info regarding location and bait would be very helpfull...
Lake Roberts. Catfish with cut beef liver or shrimp (use the smaller eating kind they're cheap). You want to fish off a point if it's possible. For trout use worms or power bait (I like the chartreuse) on as small a hook as you can find. Really, the smaller the better for trout. Set it up with about 18" of real fine leader (2lb) to a swivel and a small bullet weight up string from the swivel. The trout bite is likely to be decent but it will also probably be windy. Best luck early and late as usual.
