During the first week in October I understand there is an Enchilada Fiesta in New Mexico. I was planning on attending and maybe entering it. Was wondering if anyone on this board has attended or entered or knows of any other Enchilada Cook off locally? Or just plain old BBQ Contests in New Mexico?
Would appreciate your feed back and I would also be willing to share some recipes as well!
It can't be the ABQ area - the beginning of October is the Balloon Fiesta. Doubt there would be another major event going on at the same time, unless it was something connected with the balloon fiesta.
Wow, I knew it was a big deal in Las Cruces, but, I had no idea it was considered one of the top 100 events in the USA.
I just missed it last year when I was house-hunting, but, now that I live here, I am counting the days
Basically, the "carnies" from the Hatch Chile Festival make a return appearance for this annual event. I think the same carnival company is transferred down to Main Street. It felt like I was in the same place, minus the landscape. That is to say, every ride and food stand was the same.
