Nice to see that Holloman AFB is having a civilian High Tech Job Fair in Alamogordo as these new F-22 Raptors coming in is good for my favorite city's economy in New Mexico.

Type of jobs posting are
Avionics Technicians
Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics
Supply Technicians
Munitions Technicians
Aircraft Ground Equipment Mechanics

These are civilian job openings. Good to see Alamogordo get these.

Don't know if this has been covered in the threads, but it's a new mission/unit for Holloman.

From what I remember, the city has a decent water future - isn't there some giant aquifer under Otero?

Alamogordo area has many water problems. Also, the area is not what it used to be. There are many boarded up and empty businesses and homes. The 2010 Census showed that the population has declined by over 5,000 people and that there are many empty homes in the city. They hired a firm to study for long range planning and the man mentioned how declined the city has become even from ten years ago. I told him there was less here than 20 years ago and he stated even less than ten years. It's going downhill from what is evident. Those F-22 AIRCRAFT are leaving next year around January 2013 and have been a noise pollution problem with much sonic boom activity that deteriorates quality of life and property values once people know what is here.
