Does Santa Fe Really have the best climate (Albuquerque, Las Cruces: live in, area)

I was doing a little research on "Sperlings" yesterday and noticed that Santa Fe has one of the highest scores on their "comfort index", which is weighted heavily towards lack of humidity and extreme temps. So I'm curious: is there any place in New Mexico or the SW which you think has an even better climate?

I prefer the southern part of the state since milder (very little to no snow) winters are more important to me than cooler summer temperatures.
I guess it all depends on your own particular 'comfort' level.
TigerLily24: I agree. It depends on what a particular person thinks is the "best" climate. Santa Fe is a bit on the cold and snowy side for me. My idea of the best climate would be in the Alamogordo-Cloudcroft range. High Rolls or Timberon would be just about perfect for me.
I have always thought Prescott, AZ sounded about right. It's about 5,000 feet. I a bit warmer than Santa Fe, so hotter summers and milder winters. For that matter most places along the Mogollon Rim in AZ would probably be nice. And as others have said, Cloudcroft & Riudoso seem good. Also check out Silver City.
I like Albuquerque weather better, mainly because it's not quite as snowy, and it's hot enough in the summer that places have AC, unlike much of Santa Fe.
I live in Las Cruces now, and kind of miss the snow a little, plus the spring winds are nasty.
It is so subjective. The climate that would be most comfortable for me would be something like Santa Fe. My ideal climate would probably involve a bit of discomfort.
The higher elevation parts of southern AZ and NM have the mildest climate... ie less extremes than Santa Fe, if that is what you are into. Places like Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Silver City, Ruidoso, Capitan, High Rolls, Cloudcroft, Timberon... etc.
The "best" climate is such a personal thing. Personally, I like some snow (30 inches or so in a winter), temperatures that don't climb above 90 very often, low humidity (but don't care for those windy spring days when it gets below 3 or 4 percent and can take your lips off), about 20 inches of precip per year, and temperatures that rarely dip below zero.
I agree with what ABQConvict said...I really think some discomfort is required to make one appreciate the "good climate." I mean...if I lived in a place where the temperature is always in the 60s or 70s, I'd find that really boring. I like an occasional, rip-roaring storm and a few extremes tossed in for excitement.
All that said...for ME...Ruidoso and the Gila Region from Silver City to Gila Hot Springs sound great to me.
