We will be visiting the Alamogordo area over Christmas and are wondering what animals we might see at that time of year while we hike the area trails and camp at Oliver Lee State Park. Especially wondering if the spiders, snakes, and scorpions will be "nestled all snug in their beds" ????

You''ll see some deer and elk.
Maybe a couple of spiders.
I haven't seen any snakes or scorpions in the winter.

Thank you, Song. We are looking forward to the visit. My son was recently assigned to Holloman AFB, and we hope to spend some time hiking and exploring the area with him.

Getting real excited now! I'm used to seeing white-tailed deer, fox, and coyote, but have never seen the other animals mentioned!
