If you're in Santa Fe, try the Capitol Bar and Grill. They have a Green Chile, Cheddar and Applewood Bacon Burger that is killer!

Hey Loborick, thanks for the recommendation. Hubby and I are always on the hunt for the perfect green chile cheeseburger in Santa Fe.

Put me down for Bobcat Bite also. The Owl is great, also. Missing is the green chile burger on the Southwest Chief - the Amtrak train - eaten on the train out around Gallup. Take the ride West during the summer and have a late dinner when the sun is just setting. Wide-open spaces, a greasy burger and a cold beer.

I like Manny's Buckhown -- it is okay -- but in my opinion in no way compares to Bobcat Bite.

Absolutely! Bobcat Bite was the best burger I have ever had. And that includes all the places in L.A. (Apple Pan, Father's Office, Tommy Burger, In 'N Out) too. They just don't compare.

Never been there, but I'll try it next time I am in Las Cruces. I know Benny Burger down in Los Lunas is awesome. What I cannot figure out is why Marcello's Chophouse is not on that list?

I've heard many good things about the BB but I keep missing out.

Personally, I think that the owl cafe has the biggest p.o.s. burgers in the state but people always rate it as one of the best. I can think of several greasy spoon diners that could compete with the owl.
