I have found the St. Philip French Quarter Apts. online and really they sound too good to be true. And I do know what they say about that. So, from personal experience (either your or a friends) does anyone know about these apartments? They are said to be fully furninshed, near the French Market, and include all utilities for a rather reasonable price ($2000/month is reasonable to me I think for that area and w/ all utilities). So, that said, what's the catch? Is there something out there that's better/cheaper/whatever-er? When I move to NOLA I want to have the "authentic" French Quarter experience, and live in the heart of it all, and this seems to be just that. I'm just wary of something that seems too good to be true. One note: it does say on the website that this is mainly for short-term rentals, but they DO offer 12 month leases. Ok...I'm not gonna ramble anymore. Thanks in advance for any input.

Unless specified, your rent will not include parking. If you have a car, you will be paying extra for a leased parking spot.

What's is the size of the apartment you are renting?

I never heard any bad experiences about this place.

Well, I called the other day and the guy told me the only unit they do long-term leases on is the most recently renovated one that is 900 sq ft. According to the online pics it has a great view of the city, no balcony but I think there's rooftop access. Seems like a great deal, but at $2500/month (all utilities, internet, cable, etc. included) I was wondering if I could find something cheaper that's just as good. Although, the location and amount of space they offer there seems like it would be worth it in the long run.

I was down there a year ago and asked around about a few places in the Quarter and $2500 seems high (that sounds like NYC prices). Then again all utilities/bills included is pretty cool.

Not with all utilities and cable, phone, internet included though right? I don't think so.

Take a look at corporate rentals or extended stay, that might give you a basis for comparison. Might also consider if you are the only long termer, you may be among a lot of party people.
