Can someone tell me if this restaurant is open for business?

I know it re-opened awhile back; however, they don't appear to have a website.

And for those who have dined there, would you recommend it?

Thanks!

Last time I saw Miss Leah, about a year after Hurricane Katrina, they were planning to reopen the restaurant. Most listings I've seen says they are.

Give them a call and ask them:

Dooky Chase's Restaurant
2301 Orleans Ave.
New Orleans, LA 70119
(504) 821-0535

Neighborhood: Mid-City
Free Parking: No/Unknown
Handicapped Accessible: No/Unknown

Thank you.

I don't know if it was the number you listed, but I did try to call them one day from the online phone "book". No answer. But I looked up a different forum, and do think they're open for business.

I will try the number above, though. Thank you for replying ~ I really appreciate it.

Yea, it's open, it's been open since about 2009 I believe, I have eaten take out from there since then but not dine in, it's good food. If it's good enough for Obama (he stops by every visit) then it's good enough for anybody right? lol
