The only trailer parks I ever saw were way out in N.O. East, now a big wasteland of flooded places. Only a few came back.

They used to allow mobile homes as housing on the seminary. I would think if one could park a mobile home there, they could park it other locations that were not specifically zoned against them.

The Baptist Seminary in Gentilly. We lived in one while we were there.

But I think that was different than what the OP is asking. Not just anyone can plunk down a trailer there, right?

You are correct, not just anyone can "plunk down a trailer there". That was not my point. Most cities have covenants or restrictions about the type of housing that may or may not be in said city or certain areas of said city. My point was that if a mobile home could be established on the seminary then there may not be a restriction against moblie homes for the city. If there were such a restriction, one would not be able to have a "trailer" even on the seminary grounds.

Ah. But zoning plays into it, too. I don't know how the seminary is zoned.

R-1, R-2, Commecial zoning have different rules. A restriction for the city would override zoning.
