My partner and I will be in NOLA (my first time, his second) at the end of the month and for the first few days in January. I haven't been too successful finding info on the internet about smoke-free bars in the city, so figured I'd ask here. We prefer bars and lounges that are quiet/moderate in terms of noise.... I'm guessing many of the hotel bars would meet our needs, but I'm also hoping that there's more out there besides that. And if anyone knows of a smoke-free gay bar in NOLA, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks!

Napoleon's Itch is a smoke free gay bar on Bourbon. It's pretty quiet and slow during the day, but plays dance music later into the night.

Any restaurant with a lounge will be smoke free.

Napoleon's Itch sounds right up your alley. Also, there is a full listing of smoke-free bars and venues at www.letsbetotallyclear.org

Enjoy your visit!

Thank you for the responses. It looks like Napoleon's Itch will definitely be on the list, as will many of the places culled from letsbetotallyclear.com. We may try our luck at a couple of regular smoky bars, but I'm sure I'll start to hack within 10 minutes. At least there are a few alternatives.
