Hey everyone-

I am throwing a bachelor party for my best bud and around 8 other guys (10 total) on February 24-27. We are a fairly young group in our mid-20s. We are looking for a crazy time in New Orleans. We are staying at the Inn on Bourbon during our time here. I wanted to get the opinion of locals for suggestions on things to do. We would arrive Thursday afternoon and I would like to venture to a great Poboy spot and go out on the town. Friday-possible a nice dinner somewhere with local food and good deals for a big group. Saturday-possible engage in entertainment and hit up the casino at night. Any festivals, drinking events, restaurants, places to go, etc. would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

David

Mother's on Poydras serves up a pretty solid poboy. It's sort of a famous local joint too.

You guys are actually in town for a big weekend of Carnival parades 2011 Mardi Gras Parade Schedule

It's not as exciting as the weekend leading up to Mardi Gras day, but you'll get a good feel for it and the Quarter will be starting to get pretty rowdy.

Nothing wrong with Mothers. It might look touristy, but the food is really good. Don't be scared of the line either, they're pretty quick.
