Hi guys,

I am moving from Austin to the New Orleans area for work, not too happy about that but I am open to change. I travel from time to time so proximity to the airport is a factor. I am an African American professional female in my late 20's like to hang out, shop, good food, good music but not a club scene type of girl. I have received mixed reviews from on the West bank Area and Metairie. I will appreciate feedback from you guys. I need to make a decision literally, like yesterday.

Thanks.

Price range?
Do you want to live in the suburbs or the city?
Apartment complex or individual apartment, double, duplex, highrise, etc.?

Hi WestbankNOLA,

Pricing from 750-1K. Preferably a 1br+ study or 2Br. Apartment complex or townhome style.
My concern is safety, so far as it is a safe area the city or the suburbs will be fine. I will be working in metairie, but wouldnt mind commuting a short commute.

Good thing, going to the city after work is much easier than going to Metairie after work. But for safety, proximity to the airport, and job location, Metairie seems ideal.

1st Lake and Tonti are the largest apartment corporations in the suburbs. I'd recommend the any of the 1st Lake Apartments over in the River Ridge area. I have a few friends that live over there.
