I think Napoleon Lunch is very affordable for lunch. We were there a couple of days ago, shared a large muffalette, with individual sides of beans 'n' rice and jambalaya. Two Pimm Cups. Totalled $32.

Also love Oceana Grill, although the atmosphere isn't great.

Mandina's is an easy streetcar ride up Canal. All I can say is WOW! Their prices are reasonable and you get a LOT of food!

Mandina's Restaurant, 3800 Canal St., New Orleans LA 70119 (504) 482-9179

A streetcar operator highly suggested this place to us when we were just there but I should have asked for specifics. I just assumed that it was an expensive place, and we don't take a laptop with us. So I chose to forego it and check it out for next time. I'm sorry that I didn't take the chance but we'll be there again before long. Sounds yummy.
