Hello everyone. Next weekend (21st may) I got a conference in New Orleans. But there is talk about the impending flood. Can anyone tell me whether there are chances that there would be floods in the city next weekend. Should I cancel the trip or should I proceed to NO for the conference. Please someone advice me quickly.

Why would you cancel? Anything could happen but odds are it won't. Over 2,000,000 people would be affected between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. It won't happen. We live here and people are carrying about their normal lives.

I say don't. NO is breathing a lot easier with both the Morganza and Bonnet Carre open. You'll be missing out on a truly wonderful city, if you choose not to go.

I'm posting this from downtown NO. The thousands of tourists here don't care. Don't cancel the trip, New Orleans will be ok.
