Funny b/c I am relocating form NOLA to Hotlanta! What type of advice are you looking for? Do you know what area you want to be in? In the city or in areas outside NOLA?

i just moved from the west bank. you'll find there is some predjudice from east bankers towards the west bank. the garden district is much more expensive and "whiter" while the WB is less expensive and "blacker." you won't find many segregated neighborhoods like you might find in GA (I'm from there) but the GD one of the few exceptions. Also the public schools are mainly african american. If you want diversity in school you're not going to find it. NOLA does have a ton to do with kids. festivals, parades, zoo, aquariam, etc. but with a cost. hurricanes are awful and i hate the treat of them every season. also it is hot as hell and humid and buggy . I'm not sure I'd leave the ATL for NOLA. Good luck!

I lived in New Orleans all my life and I been in Atlanta since hurricane Katrina. I will not recommend for you to move to Atlanta. It's so hard to much a good loving for yourself. Once I finish nursing school I will be back to New Orleans or maybe Houston. Every New Orleans person I know that move to Houston love it out there. If you do moved to Atlanta you going to see what I'm talking about. you will be back in New Orleans with in the next 5 years. Do not believe what you hear and see on TV. Atlanta not ****. I think about leaving every second of the day!
